The texture of the scarf is medium (i.e. not loose as lace, but not a tight weave like a machine-made scarf). The colored yarn is silky and shines like jewelry when the light hits them just right. I can add a decorative loop for hanging this ACEO at no extra charge upon request to make it usable as a Christmas ornament. It works great as an ornament because it is pretty on both sides!

This artwork may look like a painting, but it is made entirely of fabric and thread. I start with a pencil drawing, and then find the fabrics and threads of just the right color to create the right mood for each of the quilts. I love using hand-dyed cotton fabrics for the special unique look. I use applique and thread painting embroidery to bring these creations to life! My favorite thread to use is silk rayon because it is so beautiful and silky. I also use Sulky cotton and poly threads, they are a great compliment to the silk rayon. I finish the quilt with binding just like any full size quilt would be. Hand turned and sewn binding and mitered corners finishes off the edges! The back of this mini art quilt is pretty as well, I use color-coordinated hand-dyed fabrics as backing and border.

These little beauties take a lot of work and love to create!

My interest in creating my own textiles using a rigid heddle loom coincided with noticing skinny scarves at a high fashion show. They definitely can dress up any outfit.

This scarf has different shades of blue and teal. I call it "Blue Ocean". This scarf measures 68" in length and 3.5" inches wide. Each fringe included in the 68" length is 5" long. The texture of the scarf is medium tight and has the appearance of lace. This scarf is made out of thin cotton black yarn as base, and beautiful silky and shimmering ryon and nylon in different shades of blue.

This light moss scarf with pink accents measures 59" in length and 4 1/4" inches wide. Each tassel included in the 59" length is 5" long. The texture of the scarf is fairly tight for a hand loomed scarf, but not as tight as you would get on a machine made scarf. Because of this soft texture it drapes beautifully. The scarf is made of bamboo fiber (80%) and merino wool (20%), this fiber is called Bambool. If you have never touched bamboo fibers they are very soft, have a feel similar to silk. Merino wool adds a bit of warmth and is also soft. This scarf feel very nice to touch, not just nice to look at.

The texture of the scarf is very loose, it has a look and feel of lace. The scarf is made out of silky ryon and cotton. The silky rayon shines like jewelry when the light hits it just right. The black cotton thread gives the scarf a nice structure.

This red,black, blue scarf/sash measures 60" in length and 1.75" inches wide. Each tassel included in the 60" length is 3.5" long. The texture of the scarf is medium tight (i.e. not loose lace, but not a tight weave like a machine-made scarf). All thread in this piece are wool, the thicker thickness of the wool give the piece strong structure.

This pink peige skinny scarves measures 66.5" in length and 3.5" inches wide. Each tassel included in the 66.5" length is 4" long. The texture of the scarf is medium tight (i.e. not loose lace, but not a tight weave like a machine-made scarf). This scarf is made out two Italian threads that blend linen and viscose: light beige and light pink. The viscose weaved into the linen gives it a bit of shine while the linen gives it a beautiful drape.

This white skinny scarves measures 55.5" in length and 2.5" inches wide. Each tassel included in the 55.5" length is 2.5" long. The texture of the scarf is loose and has the appearance of lace. The scarf is made out two different white threads. The silky white threads are silky and shine like jewelry when the light hits them just right. The thin white bamboo thread gives the scarf a nice structure. If you are not familiar with bamboo fibers - they are amazingly soft and feel like silk but not they are not shiny like silk.
